CFA Approved Tester Course.
Proof Testing of General Purpose Anchors.

This one day training course is suitable for operatives who are required to carry out proof testing of post-installed anchors, either as part of the installation process or as a service to the installer.

The training certifies the successful candidate as a Competent Tester in accordance with BS8539:2012 Clause 9.1 for General Purpose Anchor Testing.

On completion of the course the successful attendees will be issued with a Certificate of Training and a Competent Tester card

All delegates will be sent pre-course learning information in advance which they will need to study, and complete and return an assessment test prior to the training day.

The course includes a detailed practical session as part of the training, so all delegates will be required to provide full PPE to meet the requirements of a working site.

This course covers Proof testing of fixings to BS8539 Clause 9.3 and the contents are as follows:-

  • Description of anchor types and working principles
  • Failure modes of anchors
  • Test Equipment
  • Methods of testing anchors
  • Recording and reporting of anchor tests
  • Practical session for hands on testing of anchors to show comprehension and competence
  • Final written test
