New Guidance on Scaffold anchors publishedSince the first publication of TG4 in 2004 it has been widely acknowledged as an authoritative guide to every aspect of the selection, installation and testing of anchors used in tieing in scaffolds and is the only reference for fixings referred to in TG20:2008 the NASC Guide to Good Practice for Scaffolding with Tube and Fittings. In the light of experience, and to take account of developments in anchoring technology, a revised version has been published and may be freely downloaded from the Guidance Notes section.

DeWalt joins CFA.(17 April 2015)
DeWALT, part of Stanley Black & Decker Inc., whose tools have for some time become a familiar site on UK construction sites, has now the Construction Fixings Association in recognition of the fact that there is now also a wide range of anchoring products available under the DeWALT brand.

BS 8539: Code of practice for the selection and installation of post-installed anchors in concrete and masonry; is published in draft form by BSI for review and comment by all interested parties.

The CFA and NASC have published a revised version of their joint publication TG4 Anchors for scaffolding now pithily designated TG4:11. Go to the Guidance Notes section to download a copy.

First Approved Distributor Event.(2/10/2008)
The first Approved Distributors annual Event was held at the National Motorcycle Museum on 25 September 2008 and attended by 32 delegates. Presentation topics included world fixings markets, resin anchoring systems, avoiding fixing failures and the new CFA scheme for Approved Testers.

International Members welcomed into CFA.(17/7/2008)
Although essentially a UK based organisation the CFA includes as Full Members companies with European roots and world wide marketing interests. International Membership has been set up for companies in overseas markets who sell Full Members products - even under own branding arrangements - who share our key objective of ENSURING BEST FIXINGS PRACTICE and meet our high standards in Customer Service - Technical Support and Commercial Integrity.

The Construction Fixings Association is now a Company Limited by Guarantee. In order to move forward even more strongly and build on the reputation which the CFA has gained since its inception in 1979 the members have formed themselves into a non-profit making company. Click for more details.
